Partna envisions a circular economy. This is more environmentally and socially sustainable than the common and more linear economy. The value created through the envisioned Partna model would produce wealth for the homeowner while also establishing equity that would contribute to the development of additional local affordable housing.
This linear model, the model most commonly in effect, contributes to gentrification by creating long term benefits for the homeowner and only short term benefits for everyone else. Over the 10-15 year term where the homeowner rents their property at an affordable rate, their home value goes up and at the end of the term the homeowner cashes out on government money by raising rents or selling their home at market value.
Partna to unlock your potential for good
We aim to empower homeowners from across the City to identify and mobilize their potential to build a stronger and circular economy for their selves, their families, and their community. To do this, we are partnering with community groups across the City to develop networks where everyday residents and community members connect with each other, build relationships, and discuss how to grow housing affordability in their neighbourhood.
